这不是唯一一张向Dead Can Dance致敬的专辑，但这套双CD却可能是其中最具野心的尝试：共有20多个乐队近百人参与了这张专辑的创作，他们的音乐背景大多属于goth/darkwave/black metal流派，因此这里并不试图对DCD的音乐影响力的全貌做出概括，而侧重其对于歌特/阴暗乐派的影响和启示。

敬礼的乐队包括很多这一乐派中的重要团体：如受中世纪音乐影响的Arcana和来自意大利的Ataraxia、歌特乐队Faith and the Muse——其核心人物之一William Faith是前Christian Death（‘美国歌特摇滚奠基之父’）成员，Black Tape for a Blue Girl——美国最早、最具影响力的darkwave厂牌之一Projekt的创始者；其中黑/哥特金属乐队包括：The Gathering、Trail of Tears、Ulver、Darkwell和前Empyrium成员Noekk，前Cradle of Filth的女歌手Sarah Jezebel Deva和贝斯手的新乐队Imperial Black等，甚至还包括与DCD同时代的噪音试验先锋Swans的女歌手Jarboe。
